I got second prize for the theme "Freedom" in the Canon Photo Marathon! It was a really huge shock for me as it's my first time taking part in a photography competition, plus I was amongst many better experienced people! The prizes I got were:

Canon 1000D
Canon 75-300mm USM lens
Canon pixma IP4500
Lexar 4GB SDHC card
iPod Nano 8GB
Some machine to colour calibrate my monitor.

I'm really proud of myself and so very happy at the same time. (:

[link] is the picture I took which won, and yes I am really eager to take part again next year. I know the chances of me winning again will be low, but who knows?

Also, what really made me giggle was the fact that all the other competitors around me were using pro rated cameras and L lenses, and my silly little 450D with kit lens beat them. Funny how life turns out.
